Sakurai LQM EVOLUTION – Digital Foil Application System
Sakurai LQM EVOLUTION is an advanced foil application system, designed for print shops and packaging manufacturers looking to add embellishment with premium effects, tactile or not, without using traditional dies. The LQM EVOLUTION series makes it possible to achieve spectacular foil results, with extreme precision and minimal foil waste, being ideal for flexible production and value-added jobs.
The system is available in two format variants – LQM 76 EVOLUTION and LQM 105 EVOLUTION – covering a wide range of commercial and packaging applications.
Perfect integration into the Sakurai screen-printing flow
LQM EVOLUTION is designed to be integrated directly into a Sakurai screen-printing line, installed after the dryer and before the stacker. The foil is applied over already-cured screen-printed UV varnish. The features include:

- ✔ elegant finishes without dies,
- ✔ the foil-saving function,
- ✔ maintaining press speed and flow continuity.
Precise foil application and control
The system allows the foil to be applied exactly in the desired areas, from narrow strips of a minimum of 10 mm up to the entire length of the sheet. Precision is ensured through:
- ✔ front-to-back indexing up to 10 times on the same sheet,
- ✔ touchscreen control for all working parameters,
- ✔ fast saving and recall of settings (temperature, pressure),
- ✔ minimal foil consumption and excellent repeatability.
Advanced technology and full automation
LQM EVOLUTION uses individually motorized rollers with servomotors and an intelligent thermal control system. The technological details include:
- ✔ precise control of sheet transport,
- ✔ top roller heated internally and covered with silicone rubber,
- ✔ uniform temperature distribution,
- ✔ unwinding movement controlled by servomotors (10 programmable settings).
