Description

PlateRite Ultima Series – High-speed VLF CTP system for industrial production

The PlateRite Ultima series (models 16000N, 24000N and 40000N) represents Fujifilm's solutions for industrial printers that require very large format (VLF) plate production, high speeds and consistent quality. This equipment is designed for complex workflows, packaging, large-scale commercial production and continuously operating environments.

Based on GLV™ technology with up to 1,024 laser channels, the Ultima series offers the ideal combination of high resolution, stability and exceptional productivity, without compromising quality.

⭐ Extremely wide multi-format capacity

The PlateRite Ultima can expose:

  • very large plates up to 2,280 × 1,585 mm,
  • small plates down to 450 × 370 mm (with the special small-plate option).

This wide size range places the series in a category of its own — true multi-format platesetters, capable of handling everything from small jobs to VLF packaging production.

⭐ GLV™ technology with up to 1,024 channels for maximum quality

The PlateRite Ultima series uses a revolutionary exposure head based on GLV™ (Grating Light Valve) technology:

  • up to 1,024 laser beams,
  • fast exposure over wide strips,
  • fine screening and stable dot quality,
  • impeccable consistency at high speeds.

This technology enables high throughput without sacrificing image quality, making it ideal for industrial printing and premium commercial jobs.

⭐ Industrial productivity for each model

PlateRite Ultima 16000N

  • up to 42 plates/hour at 2400 dpi
  • maximum format: 1470 × 1180 mm

PlateRite Ultima 24000N (Z/S)

  • up to 46 plates/hour in the Z variant
  • maximum format: 1652 × 1325 mm

PlateRite Ultima 40000N (ZT/ZS)

  • up to 35 large VLF plates/hour
  • up to 70 plates 1030 × 800 mm/hour (ZT model – dual head)
  • maximum format: 2280 × 1600 mm

⭐ Dual-plate support (double imaging)

The large models in the series (e.g. 40000N) can load two plates simultaneously, each up to 1060 × 1600 mm, which:

  • doubles productivity,
  • reduces the number of loading/unloading cycles,
  • optimizes production time.

⭐ Inline punching for perfect registration

The Ultima series optionally offers an inline punching system:

  • plates are punched right before exposure,
  • human errors are avoided,
  • registration on the press is improved,
  • makeready times are considerably reduced.

Up to 10 punching modules can be fitted, configurable according to the press used.

⭐ Full automation for handling large-format plates

To maximize productivity, the series is compatible with a wide range of automated systems:

  • MA-L – Multi Autoloader
  • SA-L – Single Autoloader
  • SKID – pallet loading
  • AT-M – automatic transport units

The equipment can be integrated into a fully automated CTP line, ensuring maximum efficiency in VLF production.

⭐ Consistent quality with Fujifilm plates

The Ultima series reaches maximum performance when used together with Fujifilm high-sensitivity thermal plates. These:

  • allow exposure at the system's maximum speed,
  • ensure superior quality and consistency.

⭐ Essential specifications of the PlateRite Ultima family

Resolutions: 1200, 2400, 2438, 2540 dpi
Plate thickness: 0.2 – 0.4 mm (0.5 mm optional 40000N)
Exposure method: external drum
Connectivity: compatible with MA-L, SA-L, SKID and AT-M automated systems
